Painted wet-into-wet over a violet imprimatura, so the warm strokes never fully cover the cool ground — the two keep arguing at every edge. The scan is duotoned in the same two inks it was made from; the halftone is doubled and offset, one screen per ink, to fake the misregistration of a two-colour riso pull.
